Since 1981, Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Georgia has been the state leader working to protect the health and safety of children in our communities. As the state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, PCA Georgia provides statewide direction to build safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments to prevent child abuse and neglect. We are committed to strengthening all families and embracing the dignity and diversity of every child, youth, and family. PCA Georgia is an independent nonprofit housed within Georgia State University and is a unit of the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health.
Our Impact
There is no greater return on investment than by supporting the healthy development of children. In Georgia, almost 350 reports of child abuse or neglect are called into child protective services each day. While reporting suspected child abuse is critical to protecting children, PCA Georgia believes that by:
- Raising awareness,
- Connecting families to critical supports, and
- Helping to embed family-friendly policies and practices in our communities and systems,
WE CAN PREVENT CHILD ABUSE from ever occurring. Together, our impact is much greater than any one individual or organization.
